PIZZA FRIDAY!!!
So John Schnatter, founder and CEO of Papa John’s Pizza is planning to cut the hours of his employees and raise the cost of his pizza’s by 11-14 cents claiming its necessary with the re-election of President Obama and due to the Affordable Care Act.
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires full-time employees at companies with more that 50 workers be provided health insurance. The CEO claims that the Affordable Care Act will annually cost his company between $5-8 million a year. Caleb Melby of Forbes has analyzed the pizza empire chain and the impact ACA would have on it. According to Melby, the chain would only need to increase prices by less than a nickel, 3.4-4.6 per pizza, way less than the 11 to 14 cents being claimed by the pizza magnate CEO.
Papa John’s has suffered recently. The cause of the suffering isn’t ACA, instead it’s Schnatter’s comments. Shares have dropped over 4% in the past week from $51.70 the day following the re-election of President Obama to $49.22 nearly a week after the re-election, a 4.2% decrease. (Forbes)
“In September, the company announced that it would be giving away 2 million free pizzas. That was, of course, a promotion designed to increase brand awareness and to invite consumers to try the brand — with the ultimate goal of selling more pizzas. Those giveaways can’t really be cataloged alongside sales that would have been made otherwise. But just in case you’re curious, that would be the equivalent of $24 million to $32 million in pizza revenue.” ~ (Melby)
I make my own pizzas. My veggies are always fresh and typically “organic”. I make “premium gourmet” pizzas! I use the finest meats and seafood. My customers family is always excited about my Pizza Pies! Take it from me, it’s better when you make it at home. Make or buy a crust and let the family pick the ingredients. You’d be surprised about the exciting ingredients you have right there in your house. Besides, there’s no HOLD PLEASE or 90 minute delivery time on a rainy/snowy Friday night when you make it yourself.
If you don’t feel like cooking, there’s always the option of going to the local family owned pizza spot. Besides, their food is always better than the major chains and their service is always usually friendly!

From NYT
IT makes sense that Mitt Romney and his advisers are still gobsmacked by the fact that they’re not commandeering the West Wing.
(Though, as “The Daily Show” correspondent John Oliver jested, the White House might have been one of the smaller houses Romney ever lived in.)
Team Romney has every reason to be shellshocked. Its candidate, after all, resoundingly won the election of the country he was wooing.
Mitt Romney is the president of white male America.
Maybe the group can retreat to a man cave in a Whiter House, with mahogany paneling, brown leather Chesterfields, a moose head over the fireplace, an elevator for the presidential limo, and one of those men’s club signs on the phone that reads: “Telephone Tips: ‘Just Left,’ 25 cents; ‘On His Way,’ 50 cents; ‘Not here,’ $1; ‘Who?’ $5.”
In its delusional death spiral, the white male patriarchy was so hard core, so redolent of country clubs and Cadillacs, it made little effort not to alienate women. The election had the largest gender gap in the history of the Gallup poll, with Obama winning the vote of single women by 36 percentage points.

FIVE THINGS I WISH I HAD IN MY KITCHEN
- A never-ending supply of Chick Fila lemonade. I imagine God planted the recipe in the heart of S. Truett Cathy. Seriously, if heaven has a taste, I bet there’s a hint of that lemonade in the flavor!
- An ice machine that made ice like the ice from Sonic’s or Zaxby’s.
- A programmable stainless steel garbage can that sorts the recyclables and trash automatically and transports it to the big garbage container outside the house.
- Fresh cut flowers appropriate for the season.
- Idris Elba… <;~ CLICK IT

I was with you on the kitchen stuff until #5. LOL! Keep up the great work!
