11:30 last night I left my home heading to the movie theatre to see Sparkle! Of course everyone is aware that this is a remake of the 1976 film starring Irene Cara of the same name. Initially, Aaliyah was handpicked by Executive Producer Whitney Houston for the starring role of Sparkle. The project was shelved after her sudden and tragic death. Several times throughout the film, I tried to picture Aaliyah as Sparkle, but I realized this was in order and Jordin Sparks casting as Sparkle was perfect. Her voice was everything… 

Whitney Houston’s (Auntie Whitney) performance was so amazing. Yes I’m bias, but when you see it you’ll agree she was amazing.
